Jim and Odile have lived in the British Virgin Islands since 1979. Jim, a well known photojournalist, has been a scuba instructor for almost 30 years. Odile, originally from Ireland, made her first trip to the Caribbean by crossing the Atlantic on a 40ft sailboat. They met aboard a local dive boat and shared their first kiss underwater. Together they own and operate the Rainbow Visions Photo Center & Gallery on Tortola. Since 1984 their Photo Center has been the place to go for visiting divers interested in camera rentals , photo/video instruction and custom videos of their Rhone dives. More recently, due to demand, they have added The Photo Gallery , and now sell an ever-expanding line of fine art images - which are also available on-line. |

From the beginning their unique vision and dedication to quality has encouraged a steady flow of commercial clients to their door. Together they work as a team producing yacht, villa and small business brochures and promotionall videos. Their work appears regularly in books and magazines. They both enjoy doing wedding photography - and create loving images you'll treasure forever. In 1997, AquaQuest Publications Inc. published Jim and Odile's first book, Diving in the British Virgin Islands. This is the definitive guide to dive sites in the British Virgin Islands |

They
also teach photography and organize and lead diving
expeditions
all over the world. Their trips have taken them from the Red Sea to
Papua New Guinea; from the Galapagos to Truk Lagoon - and many points
in between.

| But they are always happy to return the British Virgin Islands and their little house by the sea. Along with their two little Shih Tzu dogs- Bilas & Kiva - their fondness for their adopted home only increases over time. |

| In October 2000 Odile was diagnosed with cancer and had her right lung removed. With Jim's help she recovered and is now happily diving again - her air-consumption rate as a one-lunged scuba diver is unnerving!! | ||
