If you're diving with one of our select Tortola-based commercial dive boats (Dive Tortola (formerly Baskin in the Sun), Blue Water Divers, Aquaventure, or Underwater Safaris) we offer a large selection of high quality, well maintained camera equipment for rent.

If you already have a camera, we offer accessory lenses, strobes and the chance to try a different system. If you're planning on doing a lot of photography through our Photo Center, Dive Tortola (formerly Baskin in the Sun) is a convenient choice because they are located right next door to us at Prospect Reef Resort.

Rental Policies - by the day

In order to provide you with equipment in good working order and at a reasonable rate, we have fairly strict rental policies - that way the cameras come back alive.

So…. Camera rentals, by the day are generally limited to one of the commercial dive boats (i.e. not for the Baths or any beach trips - see Snorkel & Beach Trips)

All rentals come with A FREE mini lesson at our Photo Center .

• A completed rental form and Credit card deposit are required.
• Flood and Damage Insurance is available for $5 per day.

To minimize your responsibility and keep the cameras working we limit all rentals to a: "goes out sealed, comes back sealed, you don't open it" basis.

Furthermore you must agree that the camera is to be only used underwater while scuba diving directly from a boat and is prohibited from going ashore or to a beach. Yes, we know this sounds unduly restrictive - but the damn things hate sand (it makes them leak) and they're a little complicated to seal once opened - so that's the way it goes.
